If your kids like to bake and like to design their own cupcakes, and you would love to let everyone knows how talented they are, see this, we are organizing a Cupcake-Deco Competition for kids, the FIRST CUPCAKE-DECO Competition ever being held in Kuching!

This competition will be divided into two groups, Group A for kids age 7 to 12, and Group B is for kids age 13 to 17. Both group will take turn to compete among each other in a two-day event, where Group A contest will be carried out on 19 September, and Group B will be on 20 September 2009.

Look at those lovely cupcakes at the right, these are some samples made by Taka Cake Shop so that everyone can have a rough idea how a cupcake looks like.  They are so pretty and attractive.

Don’t let your creativity stops here, let it runs wild and surprises us during the competition!

This competition is jointly organized by Taka Cake Shop, Mummycare, Kiddycare as well as Crown Square Management, with the objective as providing a ground for kids to showcase their creativity, talent and imagination through decorating the small cupcakes that are provided by the organizers. Each participant will be given 10 cupcakes to decorate, they should organize their decoration as a theme for all the 10 cupcakes in order to stand out as a winner. The participant can either select “Fairy Tale” (童话世界) as the theme or doing it “Free-stylely” (自由发挥, that means any theme you prefer) as long as it shows your creativity.

The prettiest and most creative cupcakes combination will be the winner.

For Group A kids (yes, this group only), you are allowed to be accompanied by an adult (either mother, father or guardian) as a helper for the contest. But do note that, the helper is only allowed to give assistance for preparing the materials but the “Little Deco Master” should be the kids themselves. While most of the materials are being provided by the organizers, the participants are allowed to bring 3 additional tools for the competition. Bring your best useful tool to make your cupcake stands out!

Those materials provided by the organizers include: 10 cupcakes, cream and icing, ribbon and some basic tools.  Winners will be awarded as First Prize, Second Prize, Third Prize and 10 Consolation Prizes, each for both groups.

All registration starts at 1.30pm for both groups. The competition stops at 3.30pm sharp, so all participants are required to complete their work at the stated time. Any work submitted after the stated time will be considered disqualified. Get yourself come prepared with the idea how to decorate your own cupcakes will be the key to get organized and complete your work on time. Decision of the independent judges is final and binding.
